خلاصه مقاله:
This paper studies, the effect of Dielectric type (kerosene oil and De-ionized Water) on the output parameters (material removal rate, tool wear ratio, surface roughness) in electrical discharge machining (EDM) of -TiAl intermetallic compounds. The results showed that increasing pulse current and pulse on time in both of dielectric fluids has upward trend on material removal rate and with using kerosene dielectric the material removal rate is always higher and tool wear ratio is lower than the one with de-ionized water. Also Surface roughness of machined parts in kerosene at low pulse current is less than the machined ones in de-ionized water.
