Application of the scenario building in strategic planning

Scenarios are tools for arranging awareness of the top level decision -makers about alternative futures in which strategic planning will be accomplished. This paper is aimed to examine the concept of scenario building and its application in the strategic planning. So, it provides a review of previous research in the area and introduces the scenario planning, approaches and its role in the strategic planning. The research method is descriptive- analytical and needed data are gathered through searching document and library studies. Finally, the conceptual model is presented.
