Readiness for e_business adoption in construction industry

Benefits of using e-business tools in the construction industry have been documented in many researches , but currently the application of e-business tools in the construction industry in limited and discouraging. Researches show that construction firms are not ready enough to adopt e-business so a need for e-readiness assessment arises. To address this need, this study compares some models and frameworks which work to assess Iranian construction industry e-readiness. this frame work defines the e-readiness of firms in terms of their internal readiness factors including people, processes , management , technology and external readiness factors including e-procurement, E- tendering and Collaboration via project and tries to find barriers and drivers in e-business adoption.
