Data mining techniques as a tool for knowledge management

Data mining (DM) is the process of trawling through data to find previously unknown relationships among the data that are interesting to the user of the data. Data mining has been considered to be a tool of knowledge management for knowledge discovery. Data mining is one of the most important steps of the knowledge discovery in databases process and is considered as significant subfield in knowledge management. Research in data mining continues growing in business and in learning organization over coming decades. The focus of this study is on evaluating how knowledge workers integrate these tools into their information and knowledge management requirements. In the other words, this paper suggests the use of data mining as a technique to support the process of knowledge management
