The effect of sanctions on the system performance of private banks in Iran

In this paper, the effect of variables related to the sanction indicators, income,intellectual capital, inflation and extended credits of the state banks are examined on the private banks system performance indicators (credits granted in private banks with the econometric techniques of Auto Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) in the years 1380 to 1392 (in the seasonal data). Results obtained by the estimation suggest that the sanction indicators and inflation has a negative effecton the private banks system performance indicators, where, the intellectual capital and extended credits of the state banks have emerged their impacts in the form of positive sign in short-term and long-term.
