A Strategic Analysis of the aviation Industry in Australia: a comprehensive case study

This paper investigates the status of Qantas group in aviation industry in the world through analysing data provided by the official website of company, IBISWORD, government report and other related sources. The purpose of this paper is to escribe and assess the position of Qantas Group in a Strategic management concept by investigating and analysing this case study and therefore spin off ideas for industry development. This study would help other aviation industries in other countries, Iran in particular to be compared, analysed and developed. The results indicate that the company has gained the biggest market share in Australia and also has a potential to become the best low cost airline in Asia. In the last part, this paper endeavours to undertake a scenario for Qantas group which is based on likely scenario, pessimistic scenario and optimistic scenario.
