Abstract:
This paper deals with the performance analysis of a method based on Artificial Intelligence for improved a threestage Ring Oscillator (RO) using CMOS 180-nm technology process in HSPICE RF environment. ROs are basic building blocks of complex integrated circuits and mainly used as clock generating circuits. Hence, it is an efficient circuit in communication. There are a number of challenges ahead while designing the optimum CMOS RO. Therefore, to avoid the entrapment into an undesirable response in optimum design of RO, two evolutionary algorithms were used: a Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm (MOGA) and a Multi-Objective inclined planes system optimization (MOIPO). The idea is to final the optimum layout for CMOS RO with minimal power dissipation and phase noise. Simulation results show that compared with Solutions presented in similar researches, in addition to significant improvement of power dissipation and phase noise, it is revealed a significant superiority over other similar researches.
