Abstract:

Today, with a range of domestic and industrial solar power applications such as solar water heaters, research in the field of solar energy in the industrial and scientific community has been of particular importance. Solar flat plate collectors have the main role in domestic water heater. In this research numerical Investigation of solar flat plate collectors to be paid with the ANSYS FLUENT 14.5 software. One riser pipe of the solar flat plate collector numerical simulated. Results were compared with the past work and good results obtained. Different nanofluid effects on the efficiency of solar flat plate collector was evaluated. Effect of nanofluids in different volume fractions and mass flow rates of the collector efficiency was investigated, The results showed that the use of nanofluid instead of water in solar flat plate collectors cause to increase the efficiency of the solar flat plate collectors, with increasing volume fraction of nanoparticles collector efficiency also rises. The results of nanofluids were compared together who showed that Ag/water nanofluid enhance the efficiency of solar flat plate collectors better than other nanofluids who used in this research.
