Multi-dimensional Data Management for Insurance Usage in Drug Stores

Every insurance company has a lot of branches in all over the country and gives different kinds of insurance services to people. These companies need to gather information about their sales on every various places to use them for improving their business. This paper tends to propose a method to extract the information of the all transactional drug stores databases and analyze them to have an overview of the amount of drugs sold at specific circumstance (e.g. place, time period,…) so the managers can find the lacks of services. The proposed method is based on multi-dimensional data analysis concept using a data warehouse as an analytical data set. The number of records in the DW had been significantly decreased by using materialized views. So the aggregation query can be executed faster.
