Abstract:

The aim of this study is to develop new methods for the physical modification of super-paramagnetic nanoparticles Fe3O4 (SPIONs) by polymers through physical coating. These modified nanoparticles are used for the encapsulation of methotrexate which is used to treat cancer. In recent decades, the use of polymers in drug delivery, researchers have opened a new front. Magnetic nanoparticles mainly in medical advances, chemotherapy and targeted drug delivery to specific tissue repair has been used. In this research first biodegradable poly (D, L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) -poly ethylene glycol (PLGA-PEG-PLGA) were synthesized. Iron magnetic nanoparticles were prepared and detected using VSM, XRD, SEM, TEM and FT-IR methods. Magnetic nanoparticles coated with copolymer containing Methotrexate were prepared by a double emulsion method (w/o/w). This nanoparticles characterized via DLS,SEM and FT-IR analyzes. Drug encapsulation efficiency obtained 109.Effect of pH and temperature on drug release was studied. The results showed that the synthesized copolymer is suitable for encapsulation of methotrexate and can effectively act as a new carrier in drug delivery and therapeutic target for anticancer drugs
