خلاصه مقاله:
The purpose of the present study is to investigate the role of self-regulation in different theories of learning and their practices and to propose an instructional framework for self-regulation. Self regulation refers to processes that learners use to systematically focus their thoughts, feelings and actions, on the attainments of their goals. (Zimmerman, 2000). Such striking theories of learning as behaviorism, social cognitive, information processing, constructivism, and Motivation theories have all assigned a central role to self-regulation from their own perspective. In this study, we explore the role of self-regulation in each of the above-mentioned theories along with their practices. Finally, an instructional framework for self-regulation is proposed which emanates from the above mentioned learning theories
