There has been a large body of studies about individual cognitive differences, such as Working Memory (WM) and attentional control in SLA. The mediating role of these differences and their importance through conversational interaction and interactional feedback has also been studied to some extend in Interaction-driven learning researches. Studies which have investigated the link between working memory and language learning have made many researchers interested in examining how working memory affects interaction-based language learning. This paper provides a literature review for the roles of working memory in Interaction-driven language learning. First a model of working memory will be presented followed by a discussion of the roles of working memory in the framework of SLA and then working memory will be discussed in interaction research and recast in particular
