Abstract:

EV (EV) is an option for future transportation in order to decrease CO2- emissions and reduce dependency on fossil fuels. These vehicles have the capability to discharge and provide energy for the grid, so they try to provide power for electric markets. But during the process of charging these vehicles, an extra load is imposed to the grid and it must have the ability to provide energy for the vehicles. In addition, they candischarge their stored energy and provide ancillary services. So, additional revenue will be presented. As EVs made a revolution in the vehicle industry, it is time to see their effect on the network. Therefor, the main concern of this paper is to prepare a probabilistic model for EVs. The most salient feature of these vehicles is their stochastic behavior. In order to confront with this problem, queue theory is proposed to obtain the number of vehicles which are connected to the network. Also, the results show the place where vehicles are connected is important and can affect the grid power losses.
