Abstract:
In this study, initially combined heat and power (CHP) technologies with prime movers of steam turbine, HRSG were investigated for Marun Petrochemical Complex (MPC). A thermodynamic simulation has been undertaken for two different power plant configurations, considering values of exhaust gas temperature that represent the state of art of combined cycles. The results show that using HRSG based power plant is highly recommended for MPC because of high heat rate and higher level of efficiency that leads to improving the steam cycle performance.
