Abstract:

Today nano composites containing hydroxyapatite, carbon nanotubes and titanium dioxide, have been considered, due to the mechanical and biological properties. The purpose of this study is synthesis nano composite (HA/CNT-TiO2) by the sol-gel method. For this purpose, carbon nanotube functionalized and were decorated with TiO2 nanoparticles. Hydroxyapatite (HA) sol was prepared by the sol-gel method separately. CNT-TiO2 sol and HA sol were mixed by a magnetic stirrer and was achieved HA/CNT-TiO2 nano composite. Titanium sheet prepared with silicon carbide and then ultrasonic baths of acetone, ethanol and distilled water, immersed with speed of 5 cm.min-1, in The resulting nanocomposite and was aging for 24 h at room temperature and dried for 30 minutes in the oven 120 ° C. Then soaking, drying and aging process was repeated. Samples were evaluated through SEM, EDX, TEM, XRD and FTIR analysis. Parameter desired was, the percent of HA in nanocomposite and to investigate the biological properties, nano composite results were immersed in simulated body fluid(SBF). From the results of XRD and the Scherrer equation, the grain size of the nanoparticles was below 100 nm. FTIR results showed the desired chemical bonds. SEM images was showed that the concentration and retention time in SBF of HA, is very effective in the size of the apatite particles formed on the cover. TEM analysis was revealed nanotubes decorated with Tio2 nanoparticles.
