In this study, microencapsulation of Cypermethrin a pesticide was investigated. The effect of gelatin and NaCMC at the presence of PolyVinylPyrolidone (PVP) as an increasing agent of ionic interaction and stirring, on the size of obtained capsules was examined. Results showed a dramatic decrease in the size, spherical shape of capsules and high encapsulation efficiency by using PVP, gelatin and NaCMC as the shell materials and agitation during the preparation of Cypermethrin capsules. The 60-80 nm size and spherical shape of capsules were detected by SEM. Release of Cypermethrin in microcapsules was studied besides by GC-FID analysis from 0 to 90 minutes and released material was obtained 45% maximum. Also encapsulation efficiency was obtained 41% by GC-FID analysis. It is already proved that pH adjustment as another main parameter seems to be crucial in this process. The present research can be exploited as a convenient and impressive slow release formula for preparing other pesticides.
