Abstract:
Many of students need to learn one of computer programming languages during their academic life. However this is a challenging task for many students, so a great effort has been done in order to create tutoring systems in programming domain. Ontologies with their functionalities is a step towards the creation of shareable and reusable educational systems. This article proposes a new ontology for Learning of Programming Languages(LPL). This ontology is focused, on learner and domain knowledge representation and show the ontology development step by step. To measure the quality of proposed ontology, the evaluation of results and concepts was carried. The evaluation emphasized the validity and usefulness criteria to evaluate the ontology. Two experts answered this questionnaire and the results of evaluation demonstrate that this ontology is valid and useful for tutoring systems
