خلاصه مقاله:
Light has always been a compelling, attractive element for humankind. As far as architectural design is concerned, the focus of attention has been on distribution of light within a space and on the possible influence of light on people, objects and forms, rather than its nature. However, it should be noted that utilizing daylight in space for the sake of visual comfort of the residents and users of a building requires particular ecologic considerations. On the other hand, preservation of ecological environment is an issue of critical importance and reduction of energy consumption in building stock is a necessity of priority. Based on the common consensus in terms of sustainable development, day lighting and mastering solar radiation through fenestrations result in energy saving, efficiency along with promoting physical and mental well-being which in turn would result in better performance of the occupants and users. In accordance with sustainable objectives and addressing the necessity of paying attention to physical and mental well-being of students beside global energy crisis and environmental consequences of excessive energy consumption, the paper is to discuss the impact of daylight on students’ performance and efficiency of educational buildings by utilizing day lighting.
