Abstract:

Angiogenesis is a pivotal factor for tumor growth and metastasis, which exerts its effect on cancers such as prostate cancer through several factors like vascular endothelial growth factor and FTL-1 receptors. Prostate cancer (PC) is the second cancer-related causes of death in men which is associated with abnormal increase in angiogenesis. sFLT-1 receptor is considered as an antagonist for endothelial growth factor, therefore it might be used as a diagnostic marker. The aim of the current study is to determine a marker for this disease via ELISA method in parallel to preliminary diagnostic test.
