Abstract:

In Iran and neighbor countries, Leishmania tropica as one of the pathogenic species of genus Leishmania parasite is responsible for both cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis. In contrast of other species, L. tropica has no known animal host and is transmitted from human to human. Here, we follow up developing infection in different tissues in infected BALB/c mice through reporter genes, EGFP and luciferase (LUC).
