Abstract:
Huanglongbing (HLB), or citrus greening, is one of the most serious diseases of citrus plants in world wide. The disease, caused by the phloem-inhabiting, non-cultivable, and insect-vectored bacterial pathogens, is considered as a new emergence and spread out threat to citrus production in Iran. HLB has been a challenging disease from crop managment because of various factors, including the fastidious nature, irregular distribution, long latency, seasonality, and lower incidence of the bacteria in plant. Therefore, understanding the distribution inside the host plants and dynamic change of of HLB is crucial to develop strategies for disease management.
