Abstract:
Railroad networks are threatened in the mountain areas through two major natural hazards, geology, Slope instabilities and landslides. During construction of railroads, this phenomenon shows more frequency due to distributing the slope equilibrium. DARAB railroad is a part of the SHIRAZ railroad network which is threatened through (by) mass movements. In this research at first the nine factors including slope, geology, land cover, river, faults, soil, land use, elevation and erosion were identified as factors that caused the vulnerability of area. After providing data base of spatial layers in GIS, using the above parameters potential hazard map was prepared by Analytical Hierarchy Process Model (AHP) and fuzzy classification and using Geographic Information System (GIS). As one of the ArcGIS operators, was calculated compliance rate the risk zone occurred. The results of the model and its implementation with the vulnerability occurred on the railroad ،the suitable performance of the model in identifying high-risk areas and very high.
