Abstract:

In this research, the effect of bacteria on biodegradation of explored crude oil from an iranian offshore oil field was investigated in two manners. At first, the direct effect of bacterial culture to enhance the environment biological ability of crude oil degradation (bioaugmentation) and then the effect of environmental factors such as mineral nutrients are evaluated (biostimulation). For experimental study, crude oil of Foroozan oil platform in Persian Gulf is taken as sample and Pseudomonas aeruginosa PTCC1074, Bacillus subtilis PTCC1023 and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus PTCC1318 are used for marine environment bioaugmentation in biodegradation of crude oil. The results of bioaugmentation studies show that biodegradations of crude oil are 72.25%, 68.31% and 69.77% respectively during the five days at temperature of 37℃ and pH=7. Also, the results of biostimulation studies show that the best biodegradation is achieved in concentration of source of phosphorus 0.03 g and nitrogen source 0.195 g.
