Skilled and experienced labor is accounted as the best agent in the context of the knowledge-based economy; in the one hand, the main characteristics of the knowledge-based economy as most important factors in the evolution of labor productivity has been in the developed country in recent decades. The aim of this study is to evaluate the level and how the impact of components of the knowledge-based economy on the labor productivity. Therefore, using data from eleven countries for the period 2002 to 2013 and also by means of econometric techniques (panel data), the effect of the variables such as R&D, the number of patents, import and export of ICT and education expenditure to GDP were examined as a component of the knowledge-based economy. The results show that among the affecting factors, primary education expenditure to GDP, expenditure for research and development, imports and exports of ICT has a positive and significant relationship with the level of labor productivity. So, the number of patents has not a significant relationship with the dependent variable.
