Abstract:

Sin-qua-non pre-requisites for the development of economy of a nation are effective transportation of goods for both consumption and industrial set up. Personnel of ships are the goodwill ambassador of a country. Running of a ship can be considered as a project itself, because it involves efficient management of various operations.Cost effective management of various service operations are involved. On the basis of these Ship owners / agents want to judge the different service providers. Service provider ranking in the light of such furnished information is of immense importance to sea borne trade.Ranking of service providers is a complex procedure of setting priorities in where one has to make the best decisions when both qualitative and quantitative aspects of a decision need to be considered.In this study we compare the different service providers by fuzzy analytical process
