Abstract:
Suaeda aegyptiaca is a species of plant in the family Amaranthaceae and salt-affected areas of Iran. In this study, the aqueous extract of Suaeda aegyptiaca passion obtained by maceration and microwave (90w and 270w) were used for the biosynthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles. The synthesized ZnO nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies (PL), powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR). The formation of ZnO nanoparticles was confirmed by the presence of absorption bands in the range of 270-390 nm and an emission peak at 458nm. SEM images show the nanostructure ZnO particles with wide size distribution. According to XRD results, the prepared ZnO nanoparticles have a good agreement with hcp hexagonal structure.
