A one-pot reaction for the efficient, green and economical synthesis of pyrrole derivatives using 2,5-dimethoxy tetrahydrofuran and primary amines in the presence of ionic liquid as a homogeneous catalyst under microwave irradiation. The present synthesis shows characteristics such as; short reaction times, high products yields, easy reaction work-up and solvent free condition.
