Sociological Study on Tourists' Attitude in Relationship Between the Sense of Security and Development of Tourism Activities

Security has been considered as a fundamental concept in the field of sociological studies and many researchers in the world have paid attention to it since it is strong protection for human communities. Today, it is very important, due to development of the tourism industry and presence of culture people with various cultures and customs of people in one area and its economic, social, and cultural impacts on host society, particularly their impact on security of these areas. Tourism industry has delicate and complex relationship with security at national and regional levels, and any insecurity will cause irreparable damages and losses to the industry. The main subject of this paper is to investigate the level of tourists' satisfaction with various aspects of security in Tonekabon city. The results of this study show that the security-related indicators, such as satisfaction with the performance of police and public security, tourists are satisfied, while they are not satisfied with some cases such as lifeguard performance and roads security. In addition, there is significant and positive correlation between public security, performance of police, road security, and sense of security with tourism development, and there is not a significant relationship between satisfaction with infrastructure and lifeguard performance.
