Abstract:

One of the rudimental and practical systems forguidance and stabilization of the vehicles is Electric Powersteering (EPS) system. EPS and SBW (Steer by Wire) are utilizedin advanced vehicle control systems. Convenience and safety ofthe driver, over car steering in the high and low speeds are anessential parameter in the determination of quality andexcellence in the car market. This paper aims to present acontrolling strategy to control the vehicle steering flexibility byFuzzy and Fuzzy – PID methods which tune the steeringflexibility using the new mechanisms, decreasing and increasingmechanisms, for the production of either assistant torque orresistant torque, with respect to the speed of the vehicle. In thisissue, a state-space model of EPS system is presented. Thesimulations depict the performance of presenting approach.
