Abstract:
In this paper, investigations of 3D domain characteristics of dam break flow are presented by performing experimental tests and numerical simulation. The tests were carried out in the hydraulic laboratory of Amirkabir University of Technology and used for validation of the applied numerical model. The experiments were undertaken the wide reservoir. In addition, the Navier-Stokes equations' solver using the Fluent® software was used in numerical simulation. Comparisons were made between the experimental and the numerical results
