Telecom Applications of Carbon Nanotubes

Recent advances and future trends in terahertz devices are significant. Carbon nanotubes because of their unique physical, chemical, electrical, magnetic and electromagnetic properties have been recognized as one of the most promising material that currently available.This paper presents an overview of magnetic and electromagnetic properties and some telecommunication devices of carbon nanotubes. In this paper, these telecommunication devices are divided into groups: CNT devices based on field emission which can emit electrons by tunneling trough the surface potential barrier and microwave devices which work better when they are fabricated by carbon nanotubes
