Abstract:

Equipments which are operated by DC motors have key roles and extensive applications so that controlling position of these motors are of significant importance. A method will be developed in this study to provide an intelligent control on the position of separately excited DC motors using intelligent XCSLA system. In this method, the XCSLA algorithm receives model of DC motor to control the position of it, and then attenuates voltage of the rotor to stop the motor. The main characteristic of this method in comparison with a PID controller is its resistance against friction changes and rotational inertia. Meanwhile, time to reach stability in this controller is considerably smaller than that of a typical PID controller with no fluctuation being observed in the responses
