خلاصه مقاله:
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been utilized in different research areas because of their unique characteristics. In this study CNTs are mixed with dielectric in the EDM process to elevate efficiency of Ti-6Al-4V alloy machining, by means of copper electrodes.The effects of CNT mixed dielectric on the material removal rate (MRR), tool wear ratio (TWR) and surface quality of the work piece were investigated. Surface observations by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed reduction of surface micro crack in presence of CNT particles in dielectric. It is revealed that adding of CNTs into dielectric exhibit considerable advantages in machining stability; reduces MRR and TWR. The findings obviously indicated that addition of these particles has decreased the surface roughness
