Abstract:
Water pollution due to toxic metals ions including cadmium has created grave concerns for human health. Nowadays various techniques have been employed to remove these metals ions from industrial wastewater. Among these methods, the adsorption, as a common process with high performance, simplicity and cost-effectiveness has attracted attention of many researchers. In this case, the first priority is achieving a low-cost adsorbent. Nano-clinoptilolite having large specific surface area and many of active adsorbent sites as well as its abundance in nature can be a good candidate for the absorption process. In this work, we investigated on adsorption behavior of natural nano-clinoptilolite for removal of cadmium ions from aqueous solution and initial concentration of cadmium ions as an important factor affecting on adsorption process was evaluated
