Abstract:

Southern Caspian kutum fish with scientific name “Rutilus frisii kutum kamensky” is an bony fish and one of the most valuable and economic aquatic species that lives in the southern costal area of Caspian sea. Its stock amount, because of over fishing, has reduced considerably in recent years. At present time, in order to restocking resources of kutums, Iranian fisheries company and bony fish research centers were decided to increase its stocks via semi artificial spawning and then released fingerlings of this fish annually into rivers that is joined to the Southern Caspian sea area. A survey was performed on fingerlings kutum cultured in aquaculture farm of country’s rice research center, ready for releasing to Guilan province inland water resources. This project was accomplished during date September till November in year 2004. A total number of 212 fingerlings kutum specie men with average weight of 10g were studied. By the result, 114 spacemen, in sum, were infected to four dominant genus of parasites includes, Diplostomum spathaceum. Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., and Trichodina domerguie. Diplostomum sp. was separated from eye lens, Dactylogyrus sp. was found in gills, Gyrodactylus sp. in skin and Trichodina sp. seen in skin and gills of fish. Dactylogyrus sp. with prevalence rate of 41.9 percent has the most occurrence and, Gyrodactylus sp. with prevalence of 1.4 percent has the lest occurrance. Maximum intensity range of parasite was seen in Trichodina sp. (2-15) and minimum intensity range was calculated in, yrodactylus sp.(1-2). Also the highest mean intensity(6.4) was related to Trichodina sp. and the lowest mean intensity(1.3) belonged to monogenic Gyrodactylus sp. with attention to relatively prevalence and infection intensity, particularly due to Dactylogyrus sp. and Trichodina sp. its necessary that with utilizing external treatments and applying appropriate methods of hygienic and health management such as consuming tricholorofen disinfectant or draining and during contaminated ponds, improvement of fish stocking density in ponds and prevention of pool water contamination by exceeding overstandard organic material, and finally, by keeping the pools without fish after supplying with water within a week, we would be able to enterprise toward control and improve the sanitary statue of such these aquaculture farms.
