Abstract:

Parse (Persepolis) and Pasargadae are two well known world Heritage archeological sites dating back to the Achaemenian period(560-330 BC) located on the south- central of Iran. These two sites are specially referred as independent heritages, while the have been developed by integrated and associated natural and cultural phenomena to form history and nature flowage for thousands of years. For each sites, certain buffers have been defined without considering the natural and cultural landscape which unique roles in their development. The area between Parse and Pasargadae along the Sivand river and Tang-e Bolaghi valley hosts significant natural, cultural and historical landscape where the above mentioned two sites are only two small representative heritages among the vast integrated landscape indicating spatial temporal and cultural association.
