خلاصه مقاله:
Eugenol is an essential oil compound of clove plants that its bioactivities and pharmacological actions are well-known as local anesthetic, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory etc. This study describes the synthesis of some novel β-hydroxy ester derivatives of eugenol as lipophilic prodrugs. The synthesis of these eugenol derivatives can be efficiently achieved via the ring opening of epoxides with the preformed eugenol carboxylic acid derivative.
