Abstract:

در حالیکه پژوهش های صورت گرفته در خصوص این موضوع شواهدی تجربی در مورد افزایش اقلام تعهدی اختیاری در رابطه با تعویض حسابرس ارائه می دهد، دلایل بنیادین چنین مکانیزمی همچنان باقی مانده است. دلایل بالقوه، می توانند مربوط به کمبود اطلاعات حسابرس در مورد ویژگی های شرکت و یا تصمیم گیری شرکت برای انتصاب حسابرس جدید، باشند. با استفاده از محیط منحصر بفرد در کشورهای اتحادیه اروپا، در انجام این مطالعه از تعویض داوطلبانه و اجباری حسابرسان استفاده و تفاوت های میان آنها را توضیح خواهیم داد. در نتیجه، کمبود اطلاعات در مورد شرکت، هر دو نوع را تحت تاثیر قرار می دهد، در حالیکه انگیزه استراتژی تعویض فقط در مورد داوطلبانه (ارادی) دیده می شود. نتایج این مطالعه به شرح زیر است. من در طی بررسی ها شاهد این جریان بودم که تغییر داوطلبانه حسابرس موجب افزایش اقلام تعهدی اختیاری می شود در حالکیه این چنین افزایشی در تغییر اجباری حسابرس دیده نمی شود. تفاوت های قابل توجهی بین تغییر اجباری و داوطلبانه وجود دارند که حتی پس از کنترل نحوه ی انتخاب هم دیده می شوند. بنابراین، پایین آمدن کیفیت گزارش دهی می تواند دلیلی استراتژیک تر از کمبود اطلاعات در مورد شرکت، برای تغییر حسابرس باشد.
