خلاصه مقاله:
This study aims to shed light on the learning of comparative adjectives and superlatives adjectives in learners of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) whose first language (L1) is Persian. This research has been carried out with the collected data from a total of English learners from intermediate level. Learning of English comparative/superlative adjectives: A comparative study of Implicational Scaling among Iranian high school vs. Institute EFL learners. Specifically, this paper sought to determine comparative/ superlative adjectives which have the highest and the lowest proficiency level by them. However, no paper to the knowledge of the authors has explored the accuracy profile and acquisition of adjective morphemes of Iranian EFL learners in such a way. secondly, it aimed to find out whether there is any significant implicational scale in the performance of female learners in learning comparative/superlative adjectives through cognitive strategies are available or not. Also it’s better to mention in here that the participants of this study were selected from Kish Institute (Sari Branch) and secondary schools of Sari city both from the same gender of female.
