خلاصه مقاله:
Treated cotton was prepared by two different methods. One sample was treated with succinic acid as a cross linking agent and the other have been treated with TEOS in presence of titanium dioxide. The photocatalytic activity and self-cleaning of treated fabrics were evaluated and compared with each other according to aforementioned methods. The treated fabrics were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for their surface morphology and attenuated total reflection spectroscopy (ATR) for their chemical functionality. The results indicated that presence of SiO2 particles would enhance the immobilization of TiO2 particles on the cotton surface which in turn leads to better photocatalytic activity.
