Abstract:

Factor analysis and cluster analysis were use to analyze the hydrochemical data, such as Fe, CN, Pb, Hg, Mn, Zn, SOA, Cl and TDS in surface water and groundwaters samples from Lakan Lead & Zinc Mine to identify possible sources of these hydrochemical data. The results indicate that water samples in Lakan Lead & Zinc Mine has elevated hydrochemical data concentration, especially Fe, Mn, Pb, Zn, Hg and CN are 68, 52, 2, 279, 440 and 5 times than background level in Khomain water, respectively. Four main sources were identified. Fe and CN originated from Pb and Zn plant processing sources, Pb and Hg derive from geochemical anomaly of mine of Lakam, Zn, Mn, SO, and TDS originate from oxidation of waste disposal mine and Cl as well as has animal husbandry activities source.
