In current article, temperature distribution and residual stress resulted from laser assisted formingprogress between two different thicknesses of steel Inconel 617 sheet is studied. As analyzing finiteelement includes two thermal and stress pieces, model results of finite elements is validated bymeasured experimental results. Thermocouples connected to blocks are used to validate thermalmodel. Also measuring residual stress by the hole-drilling method is used to validate stress model.Results show that longitudinal residual stress near laser scan way has a stress value and far from laserscan way has a pressing value. Residual stress values in sheet with thickness of 3mm has higher valuesand stress area on the sheet is bigger than sheet with 5 mm thickness.
