In this paper, Ponderomotive acceleration of electrons of a magnetized plasma caused by interaction of a circularly polarized Gaussian laser pulse with this plasma has been investigated and analyzed. After calculating the governing equations on motion of an electron of this plasma in the direction of propagation of the laser pulse, these equations have been numerically solved and diagrams of the electron energy with respect to distance for different parameters has been plotted. After investigating achieved analytical and numerical results, optimized values of these parameters has been found. The result show that the electron’s acceleration depends on the ratio of laser frequency to electron cyclotron frequency, the ratio of laser frequency to plasma frequency, amplitude of the laser pulse and initial electron’s energy. It is seen that electron acceleration is sensitive to plasma frequency and also if the ratio of laser frequency to the cyclotron frequency is greater than one, the electrons will gain much higher energies.
