Onion routing is the paradigm for the most widely used and widely deployed anonymous communications systems. Onion routing is an anonymous connection that can provide support anonymous mail as well as other applications. Onion routing is a technique for secure communication over a computer network. Messages are repeatedly encrypted or decrypted and then sent through several network nodes called onion routers. This prevents these intermediate nodes from knowing the contents of the original one.The idea of onion routing is to protect the message sent from sender to receiver. In this paper, we consider a comprehensive review of Onion Routing and its surroundings.
