Abstract:

Energy crisis and the need to conserve it, led to reconsideration of the construction of one of the main pillars of the country's planning and design. The main research question arises as what are the significant differences that are compatible with the climate technical design in different climatic zones of Guilan and measures of how much energy that have been reduced in these buildings? According to studies, Guilan province has four zone climate indexes. In the past as well as in the absence of modern facilities for the use of fossil energy, the different needs of these areas led to the formation of a particular architecture in each region. In this article, three houses of each climatic zones in Guilan were selected and features of each house were examined and compared; the objectives of this study were classified scientifically into environmental, economical, and social goals. A local building in Guilan was investigated and its physical design features, materials and procedures show that the design of this province, in addition to the use of natural energy provides thermal comfort, that combats unfavorable climatic circumstances, In this way, the local architecture is a clear example of sustainable architecture, with minimal need for fossil energy. In this study, different research methods were used, including cross-comparative research method, correlation/consistent method, quantitative research method and historical research method. This paper is based on field studies and researches carried out, to introduce the identified climatic zones in the province and architectural techniques that are used in each zone for compatible climate conditions and environment. Based on this recognition, plain mountainous, humid mountainous and semi-arid mountainous zones were offered consistent with climate design solutions to reduce energy consumption for each zone of the architecture of this province.
