In this study, ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized using an anodic dissolution method. This method is based on the anodic dissolution of zinc in the presence of an amine which acts as asupporting electrolyte. An electrochemical cell, containing a plate of stainless steel as the cathode, a sacrificial zinc anode and an aqueous solution of different salts, was used for all experiments. In this study the effect of different salts such as C16H36BrN, C16H36IN,C16H36N4 and C16H36CN on the structural and optical properties of the products was explored. The experiments were performed under 0.05 A in a potentiostat mode. ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized with C16H36N4 by anodic dissolution method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy results showed that the products have been covered by the surfactant. Finally the results obtained by scanning electron microscopy showed a nano flake morphologhy.
