Abstract:
In this paper, we propose an analytical formulation to calculate shielding efficiency of rectangular enclosures with several apertures. This analytical formulation is based on complete transmission line model (CTLM). The model includes all transverse electric (TEmn) and transverse magnetic (TMmn) cavity modes . Both the magnetic and electric shielding effectiveness may be calculated as a function of frequency, enclosure dimensions, aperture dimensions, aperture position and position with in the enclosure. This model is extended to calculate the shielding effectiveness of a rectangular enclosure with one wall as a grid. The results with this model have been checked by the results of the semianalytical (SA) technique
