Abstract:
in this paper, a novel approach for Smooth Bandwidth Allocation (SBA_IP) is proposed which uses multiple state decision mechanism to eliminate large fluctuations in allocated bandwidth. Also this algorithm decrease number of readjustment around 50%. The SBA_IP is a dynamic bandwidth allocation that predicts the requirement bandwidth for input traffic according to its arrival traffic and SLA constrains. Major contribution of the proposed algorithm is to minimize the number of long fluctuations and readjustment of the allocated bandwidth in IP network using a finite state with five states. Simulation experiences show that the SBA_IP algorithm decrease 50% of the number of readjustment and long fluctuation in contrast to similar methods while allocation precision is high and queuing delay is low.
