How many individuals are LGBT? A case study of adults in Mashhad

Increasing numbers of population-based surveys across the world include questions that allow for an estimate of the size of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) population. This article concludes with estimates of the size of the LGBT population in Mashhad. Mashhad is the second important city in Iran, largest city in east of Iran and the capital of Khorasan Razavi province. Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender are not free to live in a manner they want to in Mashhad like other cities in Iran. In Iran everyone must to live as a heterosexual. In other words, heterosexuality is an obligatory sexual orientation identity for everyone in Iran. But what about LGBTs? Increasing numbers of population-based surveys across the world proved LGBTs are real and they exist in every society. They are real like heterosexuals in every society. In this article, researcher tried measure the LGBTs among adult men and women in Mashhad
