Abstract:

This research is intended to analyze the effect of usingtablet and cellular phone on high school students’ socialacceptance, academic efficacy and academicimprovement in zone 2 of Urmia city. Method of researchis causal- comparative and statistical population containsall students of high school 1st grade in zone 2 that theirnumber is equal to 17292. In total 376 students areselected by using multi stage random cluster sampling asstatistical sample. Regarding method of research andexperiment group and control group and through samplingthe students are grouped in two groups with cellularphoneand without it. For data collecting Morgan and J encks’sacademic efficacy questionnaire (1999) and CrownMarlow’s social acceptance questionnaire (1960) wereused. And their last year’s average score was used foranalyzing academic improvement. To analyze dataindependent T- test and Manova statistical tests are used.Analytical results of research indicate that there is asignificant difference between academic efficacy, socialacceptance, and academic improvement of students whouse tablet (cellular phone) and the students who don’t usethese
